Keeplet website: frequently asked questions
The quickest answers about the Keeplet website are below: each question points to the article that explains the steps in detail. If you use the app for Android and iPhone, its own questions are in App frequently asked questions.
Frequently asked questions
Is Keeplet free?
Yes. Today the website, the app and the Claude connector are free, with no subscriptions and no ads. You find the key facts in What is Keeplet.
Do I need an account to use the website?
Yes. You sign up with email and password, with Google or with Apple, in a few seconds: see How to create a Keeplet account. Only the app for Android and iPhone can be tried without an account.
Can I use Keeplet on my phone?
Yes. The website works in your phone's browser and can be added to your Home screen like an app: read How to install Keeplet as an app from your browser. When reviewing on a phone you tap the card to flip it and rate it with the buttons or with a swipe: see How to review on your phone with swipe.
Is my data the same on the website and in the app?
Yes, if you sign in with the same account: spaces, notebooks and flashcards appear in both. The website, however, has features the app doesn't, such as data export.
How do I create a flashcard?
Write a note and turn it into a flashcard, or write a cloze exercise with {{term}}. Steps in How to create a flashcard from a note and How to create a cloze exercise.
When does a card come back after review?
It depends on the rating you give (Not at all, A little, Somewhat, Great) and on how you have reviewed it over time. See How to rate a card and The SM-2 algorithm in Keeplet.
How big can a notebook be?
A notebook holds at most 250 blocks (notes and flashcards together) and each text can have up to 1000 characters. Details are in Limits and formats.
Can I use the website offline?
Partly. Review ratings given offline are queued and sent when the network returns, but you can't write or edit notebooks offline. See Review offline.
Can I import my cards from Anki?
Yes, from Anki's "Notes in Plain Text" export (.txt), up to about 1 MB of text. Images are not imported. Read How to import an Anki deck.
Can I export my data?
Yes, as JSON or CSV, from Settings › Data. The file contains flashcards, not plain notes. See How to export your data.
How do I share a notebook with a friend?
You create a read-only link, valid for 7 days and revocable; anyone with an account can copy it to their own space. Steps in How to share a notebook with a link and How to copy a shared notebook.
Why am I not getting reminders?
Check the switches in Settings › Notifications, the browser permission, and that you have flashcards coming due. Follow Keeplet notifications not working. On iPhone you first need to add the website to your Home Screen: Notifications on iPhone.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the sign-in page click Forgot password and follow the link you receive by email. All the steps are in Sign-in and password problems.
Can I connect Keeplet to Claude?
Yes, with a custom connector that you add in claude.ai. Claude can read and create notes and flashcards but cannot delete anything. See How to connect Keeplet to Claude.
Can I connect Wonderlet to Keeplet?
Yes: the connection starts from Wonderlet. The app creates flashcards in its own notebook of your account and cannot read or delete anything else. See Connect Wonderlet.
How do I delete my account?
From Settings › Account, with Delete, or by emailing [email protected]. The operation is permanent: read How to delete your Keeplet account.
