Keeplet limits and supported formats
On the Keeplet website a notebook holds at most 250 blocks, notes and flashcards combined; a counter appears from the 200th block. This page lists the other limits and the file formats the website accepts or produces, so you know in advance where Keeplet stops.
Content
| What | Limit |
|---|---|
| Blocks per notebook | 250, notes and flashcards combined. The counter, for example "212 / 250", appears from block 200. At the limit Keeplet shows "You have reached the maximum of 250 blocks per notebook" |
| Spaces and notebooks | No maximum number: the limit applies to the content of each notebook |
| Text of a block | Up to 1000 characters per field (note, question and answer), formatting included |
| Space name | 50 characters in the menu field; the database goes up to 100 |
| Notebook name | Up to 100 characters |
| Undo (Ctrl+Z) in the editor | The last 20 actions on deleted or merged blocks |
| Search | At most 50 results, most recent first |
The 250 limit applies only to new additions: a notebook that already has more blocks loses nothing, but cannot receive more. It also applies when you move blocks, copy a shared notebook or import a file.

Frequently asked questions
What do I do when a notebook is full?
Create another notebook and move some of the blocks there: see How to move notes and flashcards to another notebook. A full notebook appears as "Full: 250 items out of 250" in the list of destinations.
Why is my Anki file rejected?
Check that it is a .txt file of "Notes in Plain Text" and that it does not exceed about one million characters (about 1 MB of text). If it does, the website says "The file is too large: about 1 MB of text at most" and you should split the deck into smaller files. See How to import an Anki deck into Keeplet.
Does the share link expire?
Yes, 7 days after creation; you can revoke it earlier. To share again, create a new link: How to share a notebook with a link in Keeplet.
Where do I find the limits of the app?
The Keeplet app for Android and iPhone has its own limits. Read Keeplet app limits and the other pages of the app guide.
