Review

Shortcut What it does
Space Shows the answer (passive mode with a card that has an answer, and cloze exercises)
1 Passive: Not at all. Cloze exercises, and active mode once the exercise is complete: Remembered
2 Passive: A little. Cloze exercises, and active mode once the exercise is complete: Didn't remember
3 Passive: Somewhat. Cloze exercises and active mode: skips the card without rating it
4 Passive: Great
Tab Switches between Active (reorder exercise) and Passive mode, with the same control as the selector: if the card does not have enough words the warning appears and you stay in passive

If you press a key from 1 to 4 in passive mode, or 1 and 2 in a cloze exercise, while the answer is still hidden, the card flips and you have to give the rating with a second press. On a touch screen you can use the buttons or swipes: see How to review on your phone with swipe. For details see How to do a review session in Keeplet.

Frequently asked questions

What are the main Keeplet shortcuts?

Ctrl+K to search, Enter for a new block, Alt+↑/↓ to move a block, Ctrl+Z to undo the deletion of blocks, Space to show the answer and 1-4 to rate cards.

Do they work on Mac?

Yes. Use ⌘ (Cmd) instead of Ctrl and Option instead of Alt.

Are there shortcuts for bold and italic?

Keeplet does not add its own: bold and italic are applied from the bar that opens with a right-click on the selected text (see How to format text in Keeplet notes).

Why doesn't Ctrl+Z undo what I typed?

In the editor Ctrl+Z is reserved for blocks: it restores deleted or merged ones. To correct text you typed, edit it by hand.

Are there shortcuts in the app for Android and iPhone?

The app is used by touch. For review read How to review your cards every day in the app.
