Applies to: website · Last updated: 2026-10-30

The quickest answers about the Keeplet website are below: each question points to the article that explains the steps in detail. If you use the app for Android and iPhone, its own questions are in [App frequently asked questions](/en/help/app/app-faq).

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Keeplet free?

Yes. Today the website, the app and the Claude connector are free, with no subscriptions and no ads. You find the key facts in [What is Keeplet](/en/help/keeplet).

### Do I need an account to use the website?

Yes. You sign up with email and password, with Google or with Apple, in a few seconds: see [How to create a Keeplet account](/en/help/web/create-a-keeplet-account). Only the app for Android and iPhone can be tried without an account.

### Can I use Keeplet on my phone?

Yes. The website works in your phone's browser and can be added to your Home screen like an app: read [How to install Keeplet as an app from your browser](/en/help/web/install-keeplet-as-an-app). When reviewing on a phone you tap the card to flip it and rate it with the buttons or with a swipe: see [How to review on your phone with swipe](/en/help/web/review-on-your-phone-with-swipe).

### Is my data the same on the website and in the app?

Yes, if you sign in with the same account: spaces, notebooks and flashcards appear in both. The website, however, has features the app doesn't, such as data export.

### How do I create a flashcard?

Write a note and turn it into a flashcard, or write a cloze exercise with `{{term}}`. Steps in [How to create a flashcard from a note](/en/help/web/create-a-flashcard-from-a-note) and [How to create a cloze exercise](/en/help/web/create-a-cloze-exercise).

### When does a card come back after review?

It depends on the rating you give (**Not at all**, **A little**, **Somewhat**, **Great**) and on how you have reviewed it over time. See [How to rate a card](/en/help/web/rate-a-card) and [The SM-2 algorithm in Keeplet](/en/help/concepts/sm2-algorithm-in-keeplet).

### How big can a notebook be?

A notebook holds at most 250 blocks (notes and flashcards together) and each text can have up to 1000 characters. Details are in [Limits and formats](/en/help/web/limits-and-formats).

### Can I use the website offline?

Partly. Review ratings given offline are queued and sent when the network returns, but you can't write or edit notebooks offline. See [Review offline](/en/help/web/review-offline).

### Can I import my cards from Anki?

Yes, from Anki's "Notes in Plain Text" export (`.txt`), up to about 1 MB of text. Images are not imported. Read [How to import an Anki deck](/en/help/web/import-an-anki-deck).

### Can I export my data?

Yes, as JSON or CSV, from **Settings › Data**. The file contains flashcards, not plain notes. See [How to export your data](/en/help/web/export-your-data).

### How do I share a notebook with a friend?

You create a read-only link, valid for 7 days and revocable; anyone with an account can copy it to their own space. Steps in [How to share a notebook with a link](/en/help/web/share-a-notebook-with-a-link) and [How to copy a shared notebook](/en/help/web/copy-a-shared-notebook).

### Why am I not getting reminders?

Check the switches in **Settings › Notifications**, the browser permission, and that you have flashcards coming due. Follow [Keeplet notifications not working](/en/help/web/notifications-not-working). On iPhone you first need to add the website to your Home Screen: [Notifications on iPhone](/en/help/web/notifications-on-iphone).

### I forgot my password. What do I do?

On the sign-in page click **Forgot password** and follow the link you receive by email. All the steps are in [Sign-in and password problems](/en/help/web/sign-in-and-password-problems).

### Can I connect Keeplet to Claude?

Yes, with a custom connector that you add in claude.ai. Claude can read and create notes and flashcards but cannot delete anything. See [How to connect Keeplet to Claude](/en/help/web/connect-keeplet-to-claude).

### Can I connect Wonderlet to Keeplet?

Yes: the connection starts from Wonderlet. The app creates flashcards in its own notebook of your account and cannot read or delete anything else. See [Connect Wonderlet](/en/help/web/connect-wonderlet).

### How do I delete my account?

From **Settings › Account**, with **Delete**, or by emailing privacy@keeplet.app. The operation is permanent: read [How to delete your Keeplet account](/en/help/web/delete-your-account).
