# Download the Keeplet app

The Keeplet app for Android and iPhone is a free download from Google Play (Android) and the App Store (iPhone). Once installed you can use it right away without an account, or sign in with the account you use on the website.

## Before you start

The app needs **Android 7.0 or later** or **iOS 15 or later**. Installing and using it is free: the app has no subscriptions and no ads. To download it you need your phone's store account (Google or Apple), which is separate from a Keeplet account.

## Steps

1. On Android tap **Get it on Google Play**, on iPhone **Download on the App Store**: you find them on the keeplet.app home page, in the website footer and in this guide. The Keeplet page opens in the store.
2. Tap the store's install button and wait for the download to finish.
3. Open Keeplet. On first launch you see the welcome screen: tap **Create your first notebook** to start without an account.
4. If you already have an account on the website, sign in from **Profile**: your notebooks sync. See [Using the app and the website together](/en/help/app/use-the-app-and-website-together).

### Is the Keeplet app free?

Yes. Downloading and using it costs nothing and it shows no ads.

### Which phones are supported?

Phones with Android 7.0 or later and iPhones with iOS 15 or later. On older versions the store does not offer the install.

### Do I need an account to download it?

You need the store account (Google or Apple), not a Keeplet one. A Keeplet account is optional for using the app.

### I can't find the app in the store: what do I do?

Open the store from the link on the website: it goes straight to the right page. If the button isn't shown, the version for your store isn't available yet; meanwhile you can use the website, even [installed as an app from the browser](/en/help/web/install-keeplet-as-an-app).

### Can I use the app and the website together?

Yes, with the same account your notebooks sync between phone and website.
